While tourists and Sydney siders alike poured off the Manly Ferry like a river of people, flowing along the promenade together toward the famous sands of Manly Beach, Lara and Darren were getting ready for their Manly Pavilion wedding!

Lara and Darren had, it seems, pre-arranged just the right amount of summer for the day, bright and sunny with the cool sea breeze coming in off the Pacific Ocean.

When I arrived at the Sebel for groom preparation, the beach was already dotted with sun seekers and bright blue hire umbrellas, typical of a summer weekend and the boys were making the most of the weather with beers on their balcony and views out to sea through the Norfolk Pines at the Southern end of Manly beach.

Lara & the girls were only a short walk away at the Quest Apartments overlooking Manly Cove and a stones throw from the venue, which is lucky when an unscripted fire alarm goes off in the hotel on your wedding day! No matter how close you’re getting ready to the venue, ensure a little buffer time in your day!

The ceremony was out of the heat of the day in the ballroom of the Pavilion, nestled in the western most end of Manly Cove. With it’s large white arches, views to the heads across the harbour and it’s proximity to the beach and clifftops, it makes for a fantastic venue for photos!

A big thank you to the group picnicking who gave up their awesome spot so that we could take photos, you guys are the best!

If you’re looking for a Northern Beaches Wedding Photographer, I’d love the opportunity to capture one of the most important moments in your life, your commitment to your best mate in front of your closest friends and family in a natural, relaxed and timeless way, for you to look back on with all of the love tears and laughter you shared on the day for generations to come.
