What makes me tick…
I’m Josh and I’m a wedding photographer based at the foot of the Blue Mountains in New South Wales, though I shoot weddings all over.
I live with my fiancé Kat, our goldfish Slim and occasionally, one of our neighbours’ cats who has adopted us.
My favourite thing in the world is travelling and generally spending time in the outdoors, whether that’s exploring the outback or rock climbing in our local Blue Mountains; when I’m not shooting weddings, that’s generally where you can find me.
I couldn’t live without the mountains, 90’s music, and more recently I realised, my MacBook. While I'm most at home in the outdoors, so much of my life revolves around my computer and for better or worse, I’d be at a loss without it.
A love for being around people is what got me into wedding photography. I’ve been a photographer since 2012 and photographed my first wedding in 2015, since then, I haven’t looked back. I have so much fun that I can’t imagine doing anything else. The best thing about being a wedding photographer is that I get to spend my time celebrating and sharing in moments that people want to remember forever.
My couples love to have a good time and the last thing they want is a photographer taking over their wedding day, making them spend the whole time posing. I like to allow the day to run as naturally as possible, capturing the unique narrative of your day.
My photography style is natural and relaxed. I'm like an extended member of the family on the day and have a lot of fun with my couples photographing all of the special moments, as well as all of the craziness in between while letting you get on with having the best day of your life.
I can't wait to catch up with you soon!
